Speak up.
If you like someone, tell them. If you love someone, make sure they know of your feelings. If you messed up, apologize. If you have something to say, scream it on the top of your lungs so they will understand. By default, humans rarely ever say the things they want to. Most of the time (about 98%), the statement you hear will most likely be an “edited” version or one that will not accommodate any truth to it at all. The brain of a human is like a premium filter that stops the truth from coming out of a person’s mouth. Because we often do not speak up and tell people how we really feel, we loose so many amazing opportunities. We make mistakes by stupidly assuming the truth. And we often let good things pass by because we’re too afraid to actually speak up. So next time when you’re feeling conflicted in anyway, make sure to let everything go and let others know where exactly it is that you stand.
Let’s face it.
In our society today, outer appearance matters much more than it should. Kids are being brought up with the mindset of being “pretty” or “handsome.” That the things they wear would matter, that they need to look “good” in order to fit in. Make up isn’t just a product to make someone beautiful. No, it is a weapon use to compete for people’s attention and acceptance in this shallow world. It’s sad to admit, but outer appearance a lot more important than we make it seems.
I don’t fool around in school.
No, I’m not a nerd just because I do my work. I just want to have a bright and successful future. Yeah so high school sucks and there is a lot of work. But in the long run, these 4 years count towards the thing call your future. I want to be able to be proud of myself when I grow older and even more, I want to make my parents proud. I’m not being a “geek” just because I have ambitions and I’m working hard to accomplish them.
